The challenge
The house already had smart devices installed, but the system was inconsistent. Some lights, covers and switches were unreliable, and parts of the home needed better Wi-Fi coverage.
For a smart home to work well, the network behind it needs to be stable. Without good connectivity, even good devices can become frustrating to use.
The goal was to make the system easier to use, more stable, and ready for future improvements.
Our approach
InteliDomus upgraded the home with a complete smart home and network solution.
We installed and configured 41 Shelly devices to control lights, covers and the main gate. This included lighting control across the house, motorised covers, dimming for selected lights, and remote control for the entrance gate.
We also installed a Home Assistant smart hub, giving the property a central place to manage the smart home system locally and reliably.
To improve connectivity, we upgraded the Wi-Fi and network setup with modern equipment, better access point placement, and a cleaner rack installation. The Starlink internet connection was also improved with a wired network connection.
Additional work included curtain calibration, improved electrical protection, installation of a Nuki Smart Lock, Airzone climate control integration, and preparation for future security cameras and gate access control.
Results
The villa now has a smarter and more reliable system for everyday use.
The client can control lights, covers and the gate more easily, with better Wi-Fi coverage and a cleaner network setup behind the scenes.
The property is also ready for future upgrades, including cameras, recording, and access control at the main gate.
